      First gen F-body controll arms

Long time lurker first post here.

I had a quick question about controll arms. I have a 69 camaro and getting ready to rebuild the suspension. I am buying the TCI rear suspension and was wondering about replacing the controll arms. The car will never see track time and will be just a weekend cruiser. Is it worth replacing the controll arms? I do like a sporty feel to the suspension but just wondering if the difference is worth the price for uppers and lowers that change the geometry.

      Any help is appreciated

      Jeff K

I would recommend just doing the Gulstrand mod and incorporating good shocks. The Gulstrand mod does the same thing that most of your tubular control arms do.

There are two trains of thought for suspensions:

      1) High spring rate and smaller swaybars

      2) Lower spring rate and bigger swaybars

yeah i know the gmod is quite the superior route. It just makes me nervouse cutting and drilling on the control arm mount. Its not the cuting and drilling that worries me, im a pretty crappy welder, and its the fixing it when/if i screw it up that worries me.

You don't have to reweld anything, but if you want it to look stock, you have to cut and reweld....

Just curious, what TCI rear suspension set up are you going with?
