I am trying to talk him into a tri power FI set up for it, and punching the motor to 389 inches. We could get 500HP out of it by accident.

Hopefully we have all studied our muscle history books and remember the 389 Tri Power 65 Goat is THE granddaddy of all muscle cars! I think a new millennium LSX, Tri Power, fuel injected, big tired, well suspended, big braked, goat would be the coolest. What does everyone think?

Try to talk him into a healthy cam for that 389, or if he keeps it stock displacment. I've been working on him for the cam when I talk to him on the phone. I think he's starting to go for it. 389 with a healthy cam and even stock heads should put down 400+ to the wheels. Add the magnacharger and it should see 500 the wheels. Do it, Bill...do it!!
