      time for a change

      my 413sbc decided to develop a crack in cylinder #5. So its time for a ls. 5.3 carbd w a z06 cam. hope to have it ready for turkey run in daytona

      thxs, the guy who did the work was very detailed in everything. i did do some of the work, but very little. it is amazing how long it takes

      What kind of A/C compressor and mout are you using?

      sanden sd7 and vintage air mount that adapts to the factory corvette compressor bracket. at first it still stuck out too far and it the mounting bosses were cut down a 1/2 inch (i believe) to tuck it in to the block.

      Looks good! What headers/oil pan are you using? Are those BRP mounts? Any pictures of the underneath? Curious about exhaust/oil pan clearance.

      yeah ive heard it both ways, not going to do it until i get some milled z06heads to go with it. it does very well w/the ls1 cam in now.

      I am anxious to hear how the z06 cam performs in the 5.3 (hp wise) does it still sound stock? Also, why are you going to zo6 heads ? The 5.3 heads give you a better compression ratio than the LS1 / LS6 heads do. Does milling them bring the CR back in line?

      LS6 heads have better flowing ports. They are not the same as LS1 heads. LS6 heads > 5.3L heads
