      Big block valve springs

Ok guys I need some help here. I have a motor that I believe that the valve springs are going away. I am starting to get valve float where I never had it before. Any ideas on how I can I.D. the valve springs without taking springs off? the motor has bee together for a long time I don't remember the specks exactly on the cam I know that it is close to an LS6 grind. Any help would be appreciated.
      Thanks

do you think this will work even if the springs are going bad? I am thinking test all of them and use the higest number. Does that sound right?

      No,

You want to test all the springs and see if they are within a certain percentage of each other. That number being 5% on a race engine it would be 2% if they are off more than that they are bad. Also, if you can press the spring down with your hand without any tools and you have a roller cam, the springs are bad.
