      Oil Filter Trapped

I am getting ready to put my new engine in and I test fitted the headers and I found that the oil filter will not come out by the headers and oil pan and bell housing. Here is my set up.
      68 Camaro
      427 dart SHP block
      Moroso 7 qt pan
      Dougs 368 Headers
      Lakewood Bellhousing
What are my options? It looks like if the bellhousing had a half moon bite out of it it may come out that way. Is there a remote filter option?

Remote oil filter is the only good option.

Nothing wrong with a remote filter. Put it in the right place, and oil changes become much easier.

I personally like the Canton products and Jegs AN 10 AN hose and fittings.

Ive been having people look at stock GM adapters then making blocks from aluminum and putting AN/NPT threaded adapter then running hoses as needed, one guy found a set of hoses from newer truck engine and simply bent them his way, lots of stuff out there and let him use OEM type filters.

CV Products. Super nice parts at reasonable prices. There's a few shots of one on my website.
