442 gauges
Hey guys, I am curious if anybody has ever implemented all auto meter gauges in a 72 442. I plan on splicing all the new indicators, 12vt, and lights into factory wiring. I bought an assembly manual on ebay and much to my dismay, there was no specific description of all the leads coming out of the gauges, there was a very nice drawing of the rear of the gauges, but no specific description of what was what. Can anybody help me out here, I dont want to buy a different shop manual and get screwed again. Thank alot everybody

Almost all GM car use the same wiring colors for gauges. It is very easy to check with a multimeter (or god forbid a test light). The only one that is hard to find is fuel level which is pink. You can trace it on the printed circuit up to the gauge. I hope that was a help.
