      LS2 crank pulley

Im putting a aftermarket pulley kit on my LS2 and noticed that the stock crank pulley doesnt have a key way. The aftermarket one does have a key way. What keeps the pulley from slipping on this motor. This is the first motor Ive seen like this. Is this normal for chevy?

Friction from the press fit keeps it from spinning. Since there are no timing marks on it there is no reason for it to be keyed or installed any certain direction. There are aftermarket pin kits to add "keys" for application such as a blower that put extra effort on the crank.
