      Big OUCH!!!!

Brand new zr-1 vette, 7 weeks old, owner had it gutted and caged, and had wrap put on it, its a copy cat compuware car, but its genuine zr-1, tracked prepped.
He was leading the thunder nasa race, racing in st-1, and was leading a couple stock car su cars and ran out of talent, did not lift when he got 2 tires in the grass and when he came back on track it snap over steered bouncing off 2 walls, was first time on track with this car.
Nasa races were at watkins glen this weekend, and american iron etc were there.

I was expecting someone to have said "Meh, it'll buff out".

Guessing this is a can't-be-fixed issue?

I was about to post that he had more money than talent but it occurs to me that would apply to many of us. Obviously he has major cahones. Regards of how wealthy it still has to sting. Damn sure hurts me just to see the pictures.

He may be covered by insurance. I talked with a gentleman at Lime Rock that wadded up a new Porsche GT and he said he had track insurance. He'd wrecked another one last year and the insurance company paid for all of the damages. I have no insurance on track and most of the people I've talked to don't either.

Although I put 4 wheels off and slid in the grass at the NASA Florida races at Sebring this past weekend I'm happy to report there were no major incidents (and no damage to The14 Car). The last NASA event I went to a few weeks ago at Palm Beach International claimed a Panoz, A Ferrari, and a couple of Mustangs in American Iron. That was a lot for a one day event. The Panoz and Ferrari hit hard.
