      Cam Intake Valve Closing Point

I have a Comp 270H and I was wondering how to find the intake closing point @.050"? I need this spec to input it into a compression calculator. I have everything else except this. Thanks.

      Cylinder Head Volume: 64cc
Piston Head Volume: I believe it's +5.00cc(flat top w/4 valve relief)
      Gasket Thickness: .015"
      Gasket Bore: 4.100"
      Cylinder Bore: 4.000
Deck Clearance: Should be .025". Block has never been decked.
      Stroke:3.48"
      Rod Length: 5.7"
      Intake Closing Point + 15 degrees: ???

      Thanks Guys.

I know some manf. (not sure about CompCams) not only the durations and lift at .050", but the valve open/close events as well. Check their website for a camcard. I think also they have a free dyno calculator you can download, so perhaps that information would show up if you did an analysis on your engine.

The cam card says valve timing @.006" lift. Duration is @.050", but timing is .006".

I know, but comp gives you the .006" spec, not .050" which is what I need. The calculator requires intake closing @.050" plus 15*.

Thanks for the card, but that is for the XE274. I have a Magnum 270 and the card doesn't tell you .050" timing. It only gives you .006". I found it anyway. I downloaded the CamQuest program from Comp and it gives you everything you need. I found the Magnum 270H has an intake valve closing of 38*ABDC. I calculated my static to be 10.38 and my dynamic is 8.98.

I do have one further question. When a piston company says their piston has a head volume of 5cc and 4 valve reliefs, does that mean that each relief is 5cc's or the total volume is 5cc's. The calculator ask for piston head volume. Do I enter 5cc's or 20cc's? Thanks.
