Project Olds is back on the road again....

I wanted to thank Phil, Jeremy, Neal and the crew at The Roadster Shop for helping us diagnose and get the Olds back on the road. Thanks guys for taking the time out of your busy schedule to give me a hand. This is what I love about this community. When you need a hand, someone is usually willing to help. You guys rock. Thanks again guys.

Turns out the oil pump was way overkill for the engine, causing low pressures at operating temp. They found that it would make in excess of 150 psi cold. We went with a new pump and seems to be working fine. I drove the car home from their shop, 130 miles. Everything seems a ok. Looks like I'll get some time in the car after all.

      Olds in Indy...

I was messing around with some video editing. I managed to get a run with my Go Pro of one of my autocross runs. It was great to get it out even for a little while. Hopefully, next season will be better.

Cool! Looked like a decent run on a pretty tight course.

Lots of shifting between first and second. My feet were dancing all over the place. Did I mention left foot braking as well.

      Project Olds gets a makeover...

      Here's what's happening now...

They guys at Windy City Rods and Restorations did a great job with the make over, which will be in the June issue of PHR. They didn't want to let the car leave the shop without addressing some of the visible issues. Make sure you check them out.

Looking forward to getting the Olds out there this year, here's a run at the Indy Good Guys show. I was also playing with my video editing skills.

      After the makeover...

I decided to take the Olds on a shoot at Schwartz Performance. My pal Bob Chiluk came along to help... Thanks Bob. So I took a couple quick shots of the Olds with the new paint.

Thanks. I am glad that I could help. LOL. That was what I was trying to convey that you can do some cool stuff with an alternative car.
