Dang, the starting-point car was really really clean. I'd love to just see one of those cars in Mexico, let alone see it get modified!!! great project, i'll for sure look for the mag, hard to find around here but I know a good place to get them... tough US mags are getting cost-prohibitive... 11 dollars per issue!!

      re

This is a neat series. Buy a good driver and make some nice upgrades. The show piece cars are great but this is what i really enjoy reading about.

I've read the story in PHR.
I was wondering if the 18" wheels were the smallest (dia.) that you could use with the drop spindles, or is there enough clearence for 17" wheels with the same backspace?

      Update:

The Cutlass took alot of road to stop on the old power drums...

Thanks to Baer for helping us with the new T4 brakes for the project.

      Baer Tracks for the rear...

      Getting prepped for the teardown...

Also want to thank Phil Gerber and the Roadster Shop for cutting these spacers for us. We needed just a hair more room in the front. Thankfully, not much...

Thanks again to Kyle and Stacy at DSE for supplying the new brake booster. It works seamlessly with the brakes.

Installed, the new brakes look killer behind the Rocket Racing wheels Booster Greys...

      Overdue updates....

Sorry for the delay in updates. Heavy travel schedule and getting the engine and trans swap completed...

I first wanted to thanks Strange engineering and Randy Johnson ( D&Z Customs ) for their involvement with the project. Randy did a great job with the modification and install of the S60 rear end that we installed in the Cutlass.

      3.73 Gear set being placed...

      The beefy 35 spline axles...

      Assembled and ready for installation...

      Out with the old...

      Randy making slight modifications

      In with the new...

Still got some break in miles, but so far it is a great piece.

You're welcome. I have always wanted to do a PT project based on either a standard Pontiac Lemans or Olds Cutlass of that era.
