      Ford 9" repair

Can anyone recommend a quality shop in the northern VA area that can set up the ring & pinion on a 9" third member?

      Thanks!

No, I don't know anyone in that area. If you can't find anyone you can ship it to me.

I was trying to avoid shipping it.

I bought the 3rd member directly from Strange... I may be wrong, but the clearance between the ring & pinion seems to be too much. At cruise speeds I can feel what I think is the ring & pinion clunking. It doesn't matter if I'm going 25 mph in 2nd or 70 mph in 5th, it feels the same. I haven't pulled the 3rd member to look at the wear pattern yet.

It gets me mad because there's less than 1200 miles on it!

I figured the cost to ship it back to Strange would be as much as having a local shop make the adjustments. I guess I should give them a call, maybe they'll cover shipping.

      Thanks for the offer!

What parts are in it? Is it a locker, limited slip, spool? What's the gear ratio?
