No helmet? I thought all tracks regardless of how fast requires a helmet to make a pass?

      Nice pict.

I was entered in the NMCA True Street competition. Drive 30 miles on the street, then 1/2 hour cool down, then run 3 back to back passes against another car. Over 14 secs weren't required to have a helmet. I ran just over 14 and won all 3 races. The car I ran against was a Monte Carlo previously owned by Dale Earnhart.

Johnny Hunkins was there because PHR was sponsoring the True Street competition. He picked my car as Editors Choice for the weekend. I ended up getting a cover and feature in PHR using the pics he took at a photo shoot after the races.

My car is no where near the quality of most magazine cars. It was picked because I was racing it. It's been in a couple magazines because it was at races or events being used.

So to be in a magazine, your car doesn't have to be really fast or perfect (mine certainly isn't). It just needs to be considered a "cool car" and be out being used in the right place at the right time.

A couple weeks ago David Wallens from Grassroots Motorsports magazine took a lot of pictures of the car at Palm Beach International during a NASA road track event he came to check out. He took pics of The 14 Car in the pits, Hot pits, and on track (with a helmet LOL). Who knows, maybe it'll show up in the mag?

That's very cool John. Right place at the right time for sure. Congratulation!
