      67 Camaro: LS Experiment

I purchased this car back in 2002 with the intention of going 502BB with tremec 5 speed. However three months after buying it I purchased a 02 ws6 trans am. The 67 has basically sat since 2002. One of my biggest mistakes so far was completely dismantling the entire car because I have lost some of my parts along the way. The car is a base model 6 cyl but it had a 396BB and th350. Currently I am transplanting 99 5.3 4L60e I pulled from a gmc sierra for $400 which includes everything. My plans are to eventually turbo the 5.3, add a 3000 stall, and 3.73 gears. Current part list include a complete disc brake set up from a 99 firebird, brp ls1 brake brackets, rebuilt stock a-arms, 86 monte carlo ss steering box, hotchkis suspension, 74 nova 8.5 rearend, and edelbrock ls1 conversion plates.

This guy is my hero. I hope to build a pro-touring version of this motor for my 67.......http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/conver...ld-thread.html

I know. After I paid for the engine and tranny I kinda felt bad almost like I just stole it or something. Weird thing is I pulled a second 5.3 a month later, motor only, and I paid $350 for it at the same junkyard! New "old parts" to the list:
      -1993 Mark VIII electric fan
      -2000 silverado radiator
      -2000 silverado powersteering cooler
      -2000 silverado tranny cooler
      -2000 silverado throttle cable
      -2000 silverado cruise control
-2000 silverado 5.3 everything minus coil packs (someone got there first)
-1987 Iroc-z steering box XH code
-1985 camaro rs steering box WS code
      -2 v6 Nova gas pedals from a 72 and 75 (same)
-New Moog inner and outer tie rods
      -Summit upper control arm shafts
-New upper and lower A-arm bushings
