Dodge 46RE Accumulator Springs

I'm replacing the TCC Solenoid on my wife's 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 truck.( 46RE Transmission )
The valve body must be removed.
There is an accumulator piston that comes out when this procedure is done.

My Question is :

Aren't there supposed to be two springs on this accumulator piston ??
Mine has no springs.
My genuine Dodge Repair Manual shows two springs (an inside/upper spring and an outside / lower spring).
I don't think I lost them.
I've also read on the internet that one or more of these springs are left out under certain TSB's .

I'm lost .
Does anyone have any advice ??

I'm not a Mopar trans expert however typically accumulator springs and their setup varies by vehicle and application.

I wouldn't sweat it, if it came apart with none and there aren't any shifting complaints as far as too harsh, put it back together.

Jeff I've rebuilt several Mopar transmissions thru the years,the spring you are talking about is the one with the loose piston in the center,when the valvebody is removed.This spring is opional,most of the shift kits say to discard this spring,when installing the kit. The front kickdown servo,and rear 1st-reverse servo both have 2 springs.I've never seen 2 springs in the center piston. Ron

No problem. Some of the 46RE transmissions did not use them. Some had 2, others only one. But don't worry, put your valve body back on and be done with it.
