Are you coming back to RTTH this year? Its always good to see another Arkansas boy.[/QUOTE]

Hey Payton yea we are coming again this year actually we are loading the truck right now to leave later this evening! Always good to see other fellow razorbacks!

Jason the rims look great and thanks for taking care of us!

Everyone else thanks for the kind words it just adds to the inspiration to move on!

I think the main thing is for everyone to realize Jakes Rod Shop is not only a great place to get an awesome suspension for your car but they can do everything to help you get it on the road!

I guess its a plausable that our wifes could have the same mannerisms seeing as how my wife was born and raised right up the road from you. She moved here for school and never left(well not yet anyway) lol The one thing I cant get out of her is that she still bleeds Tiger purple and Gold!! I have been trying to switch her to Razorback red!!! Its gets real interesting around here the closer the game gets!!!

Everyone else thanks for the comments.

I saw this in progress when I was up to Jake's a few weeks ago. Looks even more angry in person. That tin work is beyond reproach. I love eye-humping everything in that shop.

I was kind of hoping to see my '67 in the background!
Yea there is some off the chart builds going on there right now. Mine is not even in the same league as a couple others there. I cant wait for one in particular to roll out it is unbelievable. Is yours the green one? I got some shots of pretty much everything there but I swore an oath of secrecy about posting pics!!! LOL

When I come back up this winter we need to all get together one night and kick the gravel and BS. I know if I can make the drive you suckers that arent but one state away can. My little trek to Jakes is only 26 hours straight driving and not paying attention to speed limits..lol I just wish you Northerners wouldnt throw them Roundabouts in on a perfectly strait road! I have not run into many of them in the Delta of Arkansas! Half asleep and 75 MPH is not when you want to tackle your first roundabout by surprise..

      Yup, mine's the green one.

I have the good fortune of being about 30 min away from Jake's shop. I had no idea that such high level builds were going on in my backyard.

It would be cool to have a get together and BS a bit this winter. Be warned, that's when the driving gets less boaring and more terrifying.

Looks great. I am heading up to my shop today to take some measurements on the Bel Air. I am hoping to get the 18x9.5 or 10 under the front w/ jrs's clip w/o him having to modify the track width. The 19x12's in the rear shouldn't be a big problem at all. I am still on the fence trying to decide if I'm going to three link it, four link w/ a triangulated setup or use the torque arm like jrs had at the rtth auto x. I knew they did great work when they were not afraid to thrash it on the track

What will be your final ride height at the rockers? I saw the wheels sizes, what tire size? Also do you have any pictures of the tin work at the rear 3-link section/frame?

      Thanks-Awesome build.

Final ride height at rockers will be 5"s, tire sizes are 345/30-19 rear and 275/40-18 front
Jake is finishing up tubs and rear inner tin work soon and will be hopefully posting pics of the progress!
      Hope this helps

Well, you done went and done it didn't you! Just had to get one up on me! Yep, get yours done first and better! I can't wait til you get it home, you've got to call me and let me know. I've got to come and see it. Just thinking though, your not going to send any of those pics to anybody in Little Rock are you? You know, just to let them know how "real" work is done? lol......Really that's going to be one killer car proud for ya.

Thanks for putting up with my questions on your build.

Have you or Jake test fit a seat in it with the channeled floor? Just wondering if you found a better way or brand of seat to lower them after the chassis raised the floor. I know this has been discussed a few times before, just checking to see if you have a fresh idea on it. I measured my Challenger last night thinking the same thing and the original stock seat mounts on the floor are approximately 2" below the top of the rocker at the front and 3" on the back which I think is close to the Camaro.

      Thanks, Wes

Wes we are actually going to run a Race style aluminum seat such as a Kirkey, we will gain some room back with how Jake is recessing mounts in the floor, but I am not a big fan of Hi-back seats that almost touch the headliner, and that is why I am going with that style of seat. Plus I got some padding built in so I can take a rigid seat! LOL

That should work good. That's sort of what I was envisioning also-if you could recess at least the back mounts a bit it would make up for some of the lost room. I'm 6' 2" and no padding so it's a major consideration! Not sure if I could get used to looking at the sunvisor!

      Thanks-keep us posted!

      update

Guys, heres an update I have been meaning to post. We finished up jays metal fab for the most part, roughed in a few area in body work and ep primed it. It is really taking shape to be a badd ass car. Jay is trying to figure out his motor selection and tranny so this monster can be finished. Its has as good of a stance as I have ever seen on a camaro. Anyway here are some updates to his build and a link to the project page. Let us know what you think.
