      Help , park brake cable removal

      Guys , im trying to remove the parkbrake cable from the backing plate to put my new moser rear end in (69 camaro) . Is there a trick to this funny looking clip that secures the cable to the inside of backing plate ????
      help !

      If its the type I'm thinking of try a box wrench(closed end) or deep-well socket. Find the size that just fits around clip, slide over cable and use wrench or socket to compress "fingers" of clip to aid in removal.

      I use a small hose clamp to remove these cables.Just tighten the clamp enough to slide the cable out.
