      LT1 Guideplates?

Which ones to use? I have tried both Comp Cams & GM ones & both allow the roller tip to be about half way off valve tip.

      Any suggestions/

I used the Comp's in my last build, but didn't remember them allowing the tip to move so far off the valve tip.

Are you sure you have the correct length pushrods, Scot? I've used Crane and Comp before and have not witnessed what you;re describing. If I am understanding you correctly that is.

Yep they are the right length, the tip is centered on the stem like this:

But the rocker arm is allowed to pivot on the stud so the roller is not centered side to side.

Later I will take the valve cover off & take a pic if this isn't clear.
