      RTTHs reminder

Just a reminder for those that may have missed this in the regular forum. This year, the cruise starts at Noon on Friday, not 4pm. For those that can not get there on time, there will be a shorter cruise to Keisler's about 2:30pm. Don't miss the Tail of the Dragon run though, you will be sorry.
So far we have over 80 cars signed up for the cruise. Remember, that is free, you only have to pay for the meal if you want one.

Is there gas along the way? Not sure if the car will show up with gas or not

      Bill,
If the store at deals gap is too crowded for everyone to get in we can gather up for the turn around at the Tappaco lodge. It's at the bottom of the hill, just across the dam below deals gap store. They have a very large parking lot, a small store, and I think gas. It's also a very beautiful spot.

Also if you want to consider it for next year, they have a large dining hall which would accomodate evryone with excellent food.

Are we leaving from Bill's or from Mainstay ????
Mainstay has a lot of room in the parking lot.

You really don't have to sign up just show up.If you are going to eat at Keisler's you will owe $15 per person.
      Thanks,

Yes, we will be leaving Main Stay at NOON! Those that have been here before know that means NOON, not ten minutes after. If you show up ten after, you will be alone!

any chance we can get a detailed description of the course y'all will be running? We're most likely going to have to chase all of you guys down in our 911 as we won't hit PF until about 1230 due to flight times.

I'm sorry to say that after 13 years the tapaco lodge has closed and is for sale. It's a shame because it was a really nice place.

Hey guys, as I mentioned in the other thread, I won't be coming.

I've got half a room available, as Mike Norris is still coming up, so my half of a room is still available.

PM me or Mike if want it.

I've got a lot of motorcycle buddies and that is where we used to stay everytime we went to the Dragon. I talked to one last week since I haven't had a chance to ride up there this year and he told me about it. I got online and checked, sure enough the website says closed and for sale. Too bad it was a great place to truly get away from it ALL. No phones in the rooms or cabins, no TV in the rooms or cabins and no cell phone service. Just a good clean place to sleep and shower, outstanding home cooked meals with dinner included in the room price, some pool tables, gas and a small beer store in one corner. I hate to see it go.
