1970 Monte Carlo
I started a 70 Monte Carlo project a couple months ago. It is a 70 Monte with the stock 350 in it currently. I am in the process of getting the rear 1/4's put on and then the body work will start. I originally was going to go charcoal with a black vinyl but it seams like every show I go to it is the same thing with these, they all have vinyls with 7in rally wheels. So i have cut that idea and i am going with a 2 tone scheme that will be either black/silver, black/pewter, or black/charcoal. I ordered some Black Chrome 20X10 and 18X8 Coy c-5's. They should arrive in 2 weeks. I plan to lower car to fit the wheels. I am going to get all the body work roughed in and 2 tone primer it until I decide what drive train to put in it. I have a lot of small block parts but not sure if I should go with a LS1 swap. I restore cars as a hobby and I have a hard time holding onto them for very long so I dont want to tie a fortune up in a motor swap just yet. I really wanted a 70 Chevelle but I have a Monte budget. I like it cause it will be different. There is a green and silver here on the site that has the same paint scheme that I was planning.

That would be yours that I was talking about. I plan to have the 1/4's finished up this weekend and then I can get to the body work. I hope to have the car primered by the time my wheels come in. I will post pics soon..
