Edelbrock Head Gaskets = Felpro Repackaged

      Just heads up....

Edelbrock suggests their head gasket7310 for many of their sbc aluminum head installs. Those head gaskets cost $50ish a pair.

The head gaskets provided from edelbrock are actually repackaged felpro gaskets.

I opened a edelbrock sealed package and found 2 head gaskets part #FEL-7733PT2. Those head gaskets costs $14.00 a pair at autozone.

I thought Edelbrock recommended the Felpro 1003
1971 Camaro, 383 stroker ~500HP,M21 Trans with lightened flywheel. All Sorts of Auto-x Goodness in the Suspension. 12" Brakes ->SOLD

But ask me about my 2004 STi Auto-x car...

Well it turns out depending on which head of theirs you buy, your instructions/information sheet is different. the e-tec sheet says you can buy 4 diff brands of head gaskets, but the one for head 60999 only lists 1 head gasket for their head... and its their brand.

The art of repackaging does not surprise me, its nothing new. I just figured maybe this info may save someone else a few $$$$.
