      Monster clutches

Has anyone here had any experience with Monster clutches? I'm looking to get one of their Level 3 kits which is good to 700hp. The level 2 is only 525 so I thought would be better off going a little higher in case I decide to do anything else with the power. Thanks.

Never even heard of monster. Years ago I used Centerforce in various street strip cars of mine. Last few years I have been using SPEC and South Bend brands.

I have a SPEC stage 2.5 in my Ram SRT-10 and I really really like that thing. Its has a really nice compromise between smooth engagement for streetablity and yet still locks up tight under max power and torque.

I ended up going with one of the Monster level 3.5 clutches. They stopped making the .5 clutches as they have now gone to a dual friction one also. They are designed for LS engines. I think I should be happy. It's supposed to be around 8% stiffer than stock pedal and will hold to 700 hp. A lot of guys on LS1Tech.com are using them and have nothing but good to say. Here's a link to their site: http://www.monsterclutches.com/
