Solid mounts! How low can i go?

I have my solid mounts ready to go in, I just need to know how low i can go with these mounts. Do i have to run a spacer between the body and frame or can i sandwich those together? I'm wanting to put these i before I drop the engine back in, and its ready now.

Well that would depend on how much "other" work you can handle or want to do.

      Header to floor room.
      Steering shaft clearance.
      Cooling fan to shroud clearance.
      Engine to hood room.
      Trans to tunnel room.

I'm using the mounts from pro-touringf-body .com. So i would have major clearance issues? Would 1/2 inch lower cause any problems?

did you get my email?, 1/2" lower normaly does not cause any issues, but with our bushing kit you can also "wedge" the body but pay atention to the fan and shroud clearance also the front part of the shacker scoop can get tight.

Wouldn't it work if you modify the core support if you still wanted it bushed? I know shaker clearance will be an issue and the base will have to be modified but newer cars don't have mounts so you should be able to mount it directly and not have the ugly frame hanging down. Of course the cross member will have to be mounted to the side or something. As for header clearance I would think you could just slightly tunnel the floor right there and the upside would be the car could be lower and the headers wouldn't be dragging everything. I have been thinking about no mounts for awhile and am considering the possibilities.

Sorry for the stupid question, but what does "wedge the body" exactly mean?

in this instance it means having the body sit lower on the fram at the front buahing than at the rear, this lowers the fenders over the wheels without affecting header to floor pan and trans to tunnel clearance but it will DEcrease fan to shroud clearance and shacker scoops also should be checked.
