      Transmission dimensions

      My search-fu is weak today.

Do we have an existing thread where the lengths of various manual transmissions (I'm looking for distance from trans mount to bellhousing mounting surface) are chronicled?

Are all the TKO's in the 15.8" range?

The TKO's (500 and 600) are all the same. If you go to the below link it will show you a good diagram of the TKO.

      Thanks Scott.

I'm trying to get all of my fab work on the car completed before it goes to the cage builder. One of my projects is a trans x-member that welds to the insides of the rocker panels, subframe and tub with a bolt in mount for the trans itself. The cage will tie into the x-member.

I'm trying to ascertain the delta between the lengths of the TKO and common T56's to determine if I'll have enough "wiggle room" for either so I can install the unit now. Or if I'll need to wait until I have the trans in hand to complete this step.

      Trans Dims

We have a very comprehensive table of dims for our product, including:
      - TKO
      - T56 - old and new (Magnum)
      - T45-RS

      Where do we post it?

I'd love to see dimensions other than the length..... such as the height and width at several spots..... this would be great for people that are trying to figure out just how much (if any) tunnels mods they may need etc...
