      Parking brake damage?

Tonight, like an idiot, I drove home for 3 miles at 35 mph with my parking brake on. Is it possible I did any damage? Everything seems to be fine. This was in my 1970 chevy c-10.

      Possibly. Maybe not.
I'm guessing that it wasn't on very tight, otherwise I would expect you to have noticed it.
Really all you did was ride the brakes. If they still work normally you should be fine.

It really shouldn't be too much trouble to pull the drums off and look at the shoes and friction surface.

The parking brake doesn't hold very well unless you keep it adjusted very tight.

      You didn't do any damage.

I can't even count the number of times I've driven with the parking brake on in older cars, and for a lot more than just 3 miles.

Thanks for the replies. I feel a lil bit better about being a jackass.
