T56 pilot bushing help
I have the gearbox extended pilot bushing for a SBC and ls1 t56. Is this an oilite bushing or solid bronze?
How does everyone lubricate it?

anyone? I think this is a solid bushing but want to make sure before I put it back together.

Nick- just a touch of grease on the tip of the input shaft or ID of the bearing, minimal, very, very little-- you don't want grease getting on the clutch as it gets hot.

Looks like a straight bronze pilot bushing to me ... oil impregnated bushings (oilite) have a slightly different color to them.

Thanks guys. I heard bad things happen when oil ipregnated bushing get grease on them.

correct, that is not oilite
