New Guy from Michigan / Switzerland

I've been snooping the site for a bit, posted a couple times and figure'd I would introduce my self. My name is Will and my project is a 69 Dart. It's my first car project, done many boats, and I'm pretty stoked about it. I'm going to do the touring thing and the plans include a 5.7 Hemi, TKO-600, coilovers and discs all around, FR500 wheels (18x9 and 18x10), along with some fun stuff on the interior including ISIS electronics, Dakota Digital dash, custom leather, so forth. Car is going to Viper GTS Blue (although after seeing SamHatCo's bird, I may be doing HOK Oriental Blue over Silver or Blue Metallic) with a painted White Bumblebee strip, custom of course. My ambition is to have it on the road in 4 years, which is pretty ambitious since I get about 3 weeks a year to work on it. I am living in Zurich, Switzerland, but my ride is back in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I'm going to school here and working, all the work coin goes to school and the car. The way it goes is I carefully plan my work for the three weeks I'm in town and get as much done as possible in that time. Last year was the beginning, stripped the car, new floors, frame connecters, and mini-tub. This year is new trunk floor, 4-link rear, rims/tires, fresh coat of Rust Bullet then some undercoating, get started on electrical layout and hopefully start working on my custom dash and console. To add to the fun I'm just learning how to weld and need to do a bit of clean-up from last year's work. We'll see how it all goes but I'm already looking forward to Christmas. Pictures aren't many, I'll get more in 5 months (from today actually since I arrive back stateside on December 16), but here are a couple. The stripe is not the final stripe I'm doing but you get the idea.



This is a great site and really inspiring to see the work that alot of you guys can do.
