      Autometer Fuel level

Hey guys, I am curious if anybody has installed an autometer fuel level gauge on a gm product. I am sure someone has; regardless, were you able to reuse the factory wire from sending post on fuel tank with no problem? Did the gauge work corectly? Also was an 18 gauge wire used? Was the gauge actually grounded out to the tank or just on a common ground behind the dash?
Thanks as any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes. Yes. Yes.....and yes, it is grounded off of the guage and at the sender itself. Just make sure you order the guage that is correctly matched to the GM sender for proper resistance.

I used the Autometer 5415 guage without a hitch.

      autometer

Hey man thanks alot, I plan on cutting the plug of the wires to the circuit board and routing the factory ground to the one for the ground out to tank, and also the wire from the sending post to the new location on the autometer gauge. This should work, any comments?
