Vortec distributor cap
I was looking for a cap for the Vortec distributor that I am going to be using as an oil pump drive and camshaft position signal generator, and found out that the old GM pieces are no longer available. Doing a search turned up a company that makes new ones out of aluminum.
This company has some really cool setups, using an LS-type PCM to control LT1 and RamJet motors. They even allow you to install coil-on (or -near) plug ignition on these motors.
Anyway, I thought I'd pass the info on.

Whoa, whoa,whoa, a cap for a vortec distributor, you mean distributor cap, I have yet to see any discontinued for any GM, unless I miss your intended meaning.
What parts are you actually looking for?

So if you are not using a distributor for spark delivery all you got to order for pump drive and cam sensor is a cam sensor for an 8.1 truck engine, drops right in, I get them for around $50. unless your needing something for an lsx.
These fit LT and down engines.

Have you got a part number for them? Not sure if it's the part I've already got or something different.
