      Radiator drain plug

My new Griffen radiator arrived the other day. I was surprised to find that it comes with no drain plug. Is this standard for all aluminum rads? Is it possible to have an aluminum bung installed in one of the tanks prior to installation? If so where might I find these parts?

I have a couple like that. I've just pulled the lower hose when I needed to drain the system. There's also these things that you can use in the lower hose. They come in different sizes for your particular hose.

Figures its an over priced Griffin, I have had soooo many problems with their products, if you can find an aluminum bung and order some durafix rods and add your own BUT then you have no warranty,,,,,but then good luck with any warranty from them.
A shop I used to work at had a motor home with a Griffin built radiator and we ordered a rad ,,,,6 weeks later we get told we need to go through motorhome builders, then called another aluminum rad builder, they sent us complete rad, air to air intercooler, oil cooler ,trans cooler as a complete assembly. And it was same price as rad only,,,,.
      Good Luck.

I don't use the petcock drains anyway. Much easier to just stick a long siphon pump designed for gas tanks in. No muss, no fuss, no hoses removed, and not even a drip gets on the floor.
