I heard it on the radio driving home. I started this thread based on the memories I have while I listened or heard his music as a child. Those of you that decide to bash him to me shows some of your class. I don't condone nor endorse what he may or may not have done but that is not for me to judge. God will take care of that. He has done more for this world than all of us combined will probably EVER do as a whole.

BTW, you critics never listened to his music while growing up? I'm sure quite a few of you have some memorable moments that you look back on and smile about.

I'm no fan of his music, but my wife sure is. His music was over-produced for my taste.

But, like Elvis, he was King of his generation. There is no denying that.

unfortunately his weirdness overshadowed his talent. it all went downhill after thriller.
I prefer the 'off the wall' better anyway.

Personally, I liked his music. And I am not sure if anything about his past was true or not, but he was not convicted.. I never understood how someone could win a civil suit when a higher court found someone not guilty.

I also think that it is a bit nieve to think that with all the people coming in and out of his life, that there wouldnt be opportunist to try to extort him. How many times in our own lives do we run across people trying to take advantage of us or our business's.. With that, how unconcievable is it that some opportunist dad tried to extort 20 Million? And after that settlement, it was a domino effect. There were many more kids and families that stepped forward to say that he did nothing but good for their kids.. The courts found him innocent, but the public was quick to condem. I am not sure what happend, I wasnt their. And I dont think that any of us know the real story, so why quick to judge?

Anyway...yes it is sad.. But, it shouldnt be a surprise.. His Lawyer says he is waiting on the Coroners report to see if his death is what he suspects.. If it was someone feeding him the drugs and taking advantage of Michael as he suspsects.. He says he is going to release information and names...It has my curiousity up.. Even in death, he may be going out with controversies...

Everyone has there opinon on MJ, however I was raised on his music,,waay before Thiller there was the Jackson 5. So he will be missed muiscally and every artist in rock pop and r & b were influenced by MJ...As for those who think he's going to a "special place" you might want to read your bible..death pays sins wage..

Correct...TMZ reported it at least 1.5 hrs earlier than CNN.

If my dad physically beat me and verbally abused me to the degree that Joe Jackson did his kids, then made them dance like circus animals, I'm sure I would be a little twisted too. Thank someone that we have had decent parents and we were able to live a semi normal life. I don't condone what he did on any level, I just try to find out what made him who he is and learn from that. And yes, I believe in karma.
