Great video the car looked a little loose in some areas. Do the larger rear tires take longer to get up to temp? and or is it real easy to overpower the rear with 600+ hp.

      Matt,
We have been tuning Penny for Goodguys autocrosses which are very tight first gear courses, we have a lot of rear bar rate dialed-in. For the road course one notch softer rear would probably be better and allow us to put the power down better on slow corner exit. The rough pavement in spots caused a mild hopping due to the stiff springs and soft shock valving and it unsettled the rear more than the front, causing it to "step out" when very much power was applied on a sweeper, and there were a LOT of sweepers on this course. You can also hear in the video the engine seems to increase rpm's in "steps" this is also felt in the car as little bounces coming from the rear, it's like we have too much anti-squat, but I don't think that is the issue. We need to soften the springs front and rear and play with shock valving.
I think we have a little less power or torque than the DSE car, that thing pulled strong! Maybe they have lower gearing...

Steve, Having troubles downloading the data, I'll work on it.

Interesting, Here is my setup, L92 engine 420 hp 392 ft lbs at wheels 4.10 rear, 600 lb front springs, front sway bar 1 1/4" .095 wall 36" length 8" steel arm. interpolated rate roughly 340 in lbs. @ 5* twist, rear springs 250 lb bar is 3/4 solid 34" length 14" aluminum arms rate ? car has slight push in corners.

DSE cars are running 3.90 rear gears

      David,

Seems like dialing out a bit of anti-squat would be:
      a) quicker
      b) cheaper
      c) quicker and cheaper to reverse if that's not it.
