Recommendations for LT1 PCM custom programming

Who do you recommend or who to stay away from? I don't know of anyplace close to my home (just north of Indianapolis, IN) that does chassis style tuning, so would probably be a mail order type of programming.

      Anyone use Trifecta performance, http://www.trifectaperformance.com/?

What mods have you done to your LT1?

I originally had a hotcam/no emissions/MAF tune. I then changed to a speed density tune (same mods) and it was great. I had the first tune done in 02 and this latest version in 06. Both times the engine started and ran great.
The price is better than most and customer service is great.

Dumb question: Why change to speed/density setup? I thought the MAF setup worked better.

Check with Speed Inc Scot. They were doing LT1 tunes not that long ago. Actually, one of their guys build a monster 383 LT1 TA recently. They should be able to do it for you.

I asked if they can help & their reply was "sorry we can no longer program OBD 1 vehicles". I am waiting on a reply from PCM for less.

I was trying to "clean" the front of the motor up (I had the standard F body 90 elbow with a filter). That was then, if I had it to do over I wouldn't. Not that SD is bad, but taking Hot air (IAT 150) directly into the intake will hurt performance. That is why.

Not a whole ton. Cam is the stock cam (I know, I know...). I have a bunch of bolt-ons. Cold air, headers, throttle body coolant bypass, smog delete, 3.42 gears, etc.

Big thing with PCMforless is that they have done a million different LT1 combinations, and more than likely have already done a combination close to yours.
