      Chrome Plating

Anyone have suggestions for good qaulity plating. I'm located in Georgia and carried some parts up to advanced plating in Nashville for a qoute and got seriously shocked. They wanted $800 to plate a 72 camaro RS grill insert and $1300 to do the rear smoothed and tucked bumper. I know good plating work is high but wow!

I Had Sherm's custom chrome in Sacramento do my grille filler back in '01 Tommy and it was $500 then so they probably aren't that far out of line, potmetal needs to be plated by an expert and all that EPA crap probably accounts for most of the cost...

Remember the more they have to touch the higher the bill. The Advanced Plating number is really in line for show chrome. I had my rear bumper done on my Challenger and it's flawless. They do excellent work.

I've had good luck with Ogden Chrome (UT) and high luster in CA, but it's been several years since I've done chrome.

Check out Knox Custom Chrome in Knoxville, TN.
They had reasonable prices and great quality when I used them a few years ago...
