      What to use

      I notice on a lot of custom sheet metal intakes that the intake runners always seem to be some sort of rectangular tubing that has a weld seam either on one side or opposite sides. Anyone know what kind of tubing is used for this?

      Its not tubing its aluminum sheets bent to a determined taper then the 2 halfs welded together to form a runner. Then welded to the flange then welded to the plenum.

      Thanks for the fast reply SS. Now I understand why I always see those seams tig welded instead of mig welded. Makes sense now. Any idea of the ga. sheet?

      Hogans uses .100" 3003 for almost everything. Call them.
