      My first autocross!

Well I finally went to my first autocross and I'm hooked. I was the only real muscle car there other than a 80's camaro. I took 3 instructors for rides and they could not believe the car. My best time was 69.5 compared to a stock g-8 that ran a 68.4 with a very good driver with many years of experiance. I don't think I pushed the car as hard as I could of, looks like I need more seat time. I'll be going to another one on fathers day if anyone in the new england area wants to go. I should have some pics in a few days also.

I ran my first one at Chevellabration and also caught the bug. Trying to get lined up to start doing it more often.

Congrats on the great performance. You've got an awesome car, and you drive it well to. Very cool.

Thanks guys! I need practice though. Every lap I went faster, first lap was 81.5. I spoke with Marc from SC+C yesturday and Im going to leave my car alone and just get some experience under my belt. MrQuik Limerock raceway is kinda close I think 2 to 2.5 hours away. Might try going this fall.

Ha, I canceled out on it. It rainned all weekend wouldn't have been much fun especially with the drag radials. Next one is July 12 which I will make that one. I did install spc lower control arms this weekend though. The next time I go I will have a better alignment, corbeau trs seats and schroth harness so if I get the cojones to drive harder I should be good.

Not sure about the drag radials... but some of the most fun AutoX have been in the rain. You should have at least gone to watch.
