      New guy

Hi everyone,I'm new to the forums but not to the car hobby.I've owned several old Mopars including a '73 340 Road Runner,'74 360 4 spd 'Cuda,'70 383 4 spd 'Cuda,'71 383 R/T Challenger and a factory A12 4 spd '69 Six Pack SuperBee.My SuperBee was flawlessly restored and was my last muscle car which I sold back in '92 for a whopping $16,000 so I could put a down payment on a house.
Well the house is now paid for and the time has come to build a new toy.I've thought about going the muscle car route again but I've been there and done that and my money would go further with something else, something different.I've settled on a front drive Dodge Shelby Charger that I already have that is in very clean condition. The plan is to go with a tubular IFS with a triangulated 4 link rear clip,a 6.1 Hemi,6 spd and either an 8 3/4" Dodge or 9" Ford rear. The car has perfect paint and interior and If I can salvage both,I hope to build this car for $20k or less.
Any comments or sugestions?Any links to chassis parts suppliers like ChassisWorks? Thanks.

I'm sure browsing through some car craft mags from the late '80s will show some FWD mopars converted to pro street, I remember a red daytona back in the day.
the shelby charger is cool, which color is it?

Yeah..I've located tons of stuff on Pro Streeting these cars and even a place that specializes in Pro Streeting them.( http://www.di-customcars.ca/ ).I've never been a fan of the Pro Street look, its single dimension and small back seat.Pro Touring cars can go straight and carve up the corners and I really dig the low tuff looking stance.Building up my Shelby Charger would give me a very unique lightweight ride (2400 lbs). The car has perfect and original black paint with the silver stripe.
