      Thanks.

Not bad shape. It needs quarter panel work and dogleg work, but don't they all? Only issue is that it is not a chevelle, mustang or camaro, so they have zero aftermarket support.

      Update:

I just purchased the SPC UCAs and Howe ball joints from Marcus on Tuesday. Also, bought the Rich Hoag LS1 front disc conversion bracket and should be here anyday.

Called Tom Lee yesterday and order the Monte SS steering gear conversion kit.

Bid on a complete used LS1 front brake setup including: rotors, calipers, pads, caliper mounts, brake hoses and won them for $55 + $24 for shipping. $79 for brake setup and $50 for Rich's bracket = Big brakes for less than $150!

This car is starting to come together. May actually have this thing on the road by mid-summer!

Lucky Day, Just scored a set of front buckets from a 94 trans am ws6. Tan Leather for $50. Cracked and heat stroked, but otherwise good shape. I am recovering anyway. Loving life today!

All the parts are coming in with the SCANDC shipment to be here on Friday. Busy weekend coming up!

      Progress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Getting closer!

At this point, the entire front end has been sanded, primed and painted.

I have installed the SPC tubular uppers, Tall Howe upper and lower ball joints, eibach drop springs, and bilstein shocks.

Have cut down my drum brake spindles and hubs, installed longer studs, installed the LS1 conversion brackets.

Cleaned and painted a Monte SS YH code steering gear and will install the Tom Lee conversion kit and mount on the shaft tomorrow.

Sandblasting the calipers and rotor hats for paint. New inner and outer tie rods come in tomorrow and will be installed.

Painting and installing the second gen Trans Am sway bar with new end links and poly bushings tomorrow!

Once that is all good, the engine and tranny are ready to be dropped in.

      Tom

More Progress!!!!!!!! Well everything is now finished with mechanical. Just put on a beautifully refurbed quadrajet thanks to Everyday Performance LLC and hooked up the exhaust using a Pypes XChange x pipe with exhaust cutouts, Flowmaster Super 40s.

Listen to her purrrr, love the lump!

Thanks man! Had some hiccups. Stomp on the gas and hiccup! tracked fuel system for causes of starvation. Replaced all HEI components for spark related issues(rotor, cap, module, coil, wires) still issues, but ran smoother. But still hiccups, started killing out while idling, no fuel getting to the inline filter. Changed the mechanical pump to a Holley blue with inline regulator. Got full 7 psi, but still hiccups. turns out there was a chunk of sediment in the inlet valve from bad gas. Didn't get caught during the rebuild. The inlet valve filter in the Qjet was totally crud. never replaced it after switching over to the electric fuel pump. Now have a filter between the tank and electic pump and still have the inlet valve filter and all is good.

This thing is a flatout beast!!!!!!!!!!!
