      fuel issue

Ok, this just started last Friday...I backed my car out to head to cruise not and had a hard time keping it running, then it died when I got out of my drive way. I thought maybe spark trouble. I just filled up with gas, but went ahead and sprayed some fluid into carb and it wanted to start. I pulled air cleaner and looked into sight glasses and pulled both...EMPTY. I can hear the fuel pump running(holley red). I started at fuel tank(ricks) and started breakin AN- fittings loose to find where fuel wasnt. It was at front of pump, back of pump, before regulator and so on. I then filled the bowl and got it to run. Drove to cruise night now problem. Again last night, not so bad, but it hiccupped a couple of times and did die when going threw a corner at about 40 mph. I am thinking of bumping pressure up a little or do I have a pump/fuel starvation problem. The carb is a BG speed demon 750 has about 4k miles on it. I will let everyone know now, I know enough to be dangerous when it comes to carbs, so I am asking...what is the problem? Oh, yeah if this matters 3/8" fuel line, tank is vented, no return line. Thanks for your help....my gut tells me pumping headed south.
