      CONTROLLERS: What is currently best?

I just did a search, and looks like this has not been really covered lately. How is Brian doing with DC Controls?? Anyone use the DIF or Dakota controllers? It also looks like Jabin has gone AWOL since last year - who is now the best contact for such things?

I currently need two controllers (and actually plan on buying an additional one, for another project).

I HAD two older gen SPAL pwm's on my Falcon. One controlled the fan, the other the waterpump. Worked well for me, until now... The one for the pump went bad on the ground side of the wires going to the pump. While troubleshooting that controller, I brain-farted hooking up some wires, and released the magic smoke from the previously-working-fine-fan controller

So, I REALLY need at least 2 controllers, SOON! I really want them to be variable speed. I would MUCH prefer to be able to retain the temp sending unit that I used on the SPALs. Suggestions???

      Thanks,
      Lee

I'm looking to buy a DC controls unit as well but have been a bit hesitant, so I'm curious to see what feedback is on this topic.

      Jeff,

I DO have a DC Controls unit, on my Cobra. It is older than the SPAL's on the Falcon, and is still working well.

But, the reason I had SPAL's on the Falcon, is that I could not get ahold of Brian when I needed those controllers! Jabin stepped in, and was very helpful, and provided me with the SPALs.

I have used many DC controllers. I just received the last one two weeks ago. He does make one that will control both the pump and fan.I think they are the best out there. I have just ordered off the website. It normally takes about two-three weeks to get it but I think worth the wait.

My DC Controls fan controller works flawlessly. I recently added A/C to my car, and added A/C input. Worked perfectly.

I know Brian is hard to reach, but his products work great.

I have a slightly used SPAL V3 for sale. The DIF will only work with a EFI temperature probe (5V ref voltage).
I currently run the Dakota PAC 2700 and it works great with the MARK VIII fan

I ordered my DC unit last week, so I'm glad to hear so much positive feedback. Brian should come around here more often. I know it would only help his revenue growth.

      Just to update/close thread:

I got the DCControl 50P35, which controls both the fan and waterpump. This has Brian's new rheostat temp controller.

Easy install, easy adjustment, and works great!
