      Does this sound right???

I have,,,what is supposed to be Global West big block springs for 64-67 cars!!
I talked to them and they mentioned to check on the spring itself and it will be scribed into it what spring it is!!!
I checked this afternoon,,,and there is no scribing or anything else to verify what they are!!!
I measured the springs,,,theyre both: Wire Diameter .72,,,,,8 coils,,,and they measure 13.75" tall!!!
I have SPC and tall BJ set up,,,the front end sits on its nose,,,and think I may have gotten a small block spring!!!!
      Anyone have any ideas??? Thanks!!!

Do you mean you have the SPC lower control arms? They lower the car 2 inches. combined with the tall ball joints mounted in the lower arms would give you about a 3 inch drop. You can get spring shims to adjust the height.

My stock springs (for a 68 GTO) were at least 16 inches sounds like yours are lowering springs (shorter).

I made some guesses and assumptions but that would get you a lot of drop. This help?

I just have the upper SPC arms,,,,but your right about losing too much height!!!
My new rims and tires will here within the next week or so,,,I measured things from the specs I have for the tires,,,and its looking like im going to need to get the front end up somewhere around 2.5" to get it to sit how I would like!!!
Not so sure it would be a good idea to shim that much or not,,,or if I did shim,,what the proper way to do it,,from the top or bottom??!!
Maybe the best would be to get another set of front springs!!!!

I went through the same thing you did - springs dropping my car much more than expected with the SPC arms and tall ball joints. I ended up using the SPC spring spacers (which go in the lower control arm) to dial in the front end height to where I wanted it.

You can find more information on them here:http://www.specprod.com/CATALOG_DIR/Coil_08.pdf

The one inch spacer should get you 2.0 to 2.5 inches of lift.

Here are a few pics of the .5 inch spacers (they lifted the front of my car an inch):

I got my spacers through SC&C.

Hope this helps (have fun taking the springs out and putting them back in).

Thanks for the link and pic of the spacers,,,think I will give Mark a call on Tuesday and get a set of the 1" spacers ordered,,,,that should get me in the ball park of where I want to be,,,I will have to figure out how to tweak it from there to get it exactly where I want it!!!
