Header/Exhaust question
So, I just got a Magnaflow 2 1/2 inch system for my 68 Camaro. I have some issues to take care of before I install it. First, I have a collapsed motor mount I need to replace, but my biggest concern is this:
I have a basement garage with an very steep down hill driveway. At the bottom is a deep gutter before going back up into the garage. The header flang hits the driveway at the top of the crest. The headers and oil pan hit at the bottom going into the garage. I built some ramps to fill the gutter at the bottom of the driveway, and for the headers to clear the top of the driveway I need to move them to the top and turn them upside down after I get the front wheels out of the garage. I don't want to do this every time, and currently the back end isn't even lowered yet.
I was considering some mid-length headers, particularly, Flowtech - 31108 but I was unsure about any performance disadvantages to mid-length headers compared to full length, and curious about how I would go about connecting them to the magnaflow system. I couldn't find any angled reducers online, is that just something I have to take to an exhaust shop to get?
If it helps, it's a standard SBC with an auto trans. in a car that originally had AC, but the AC has been removed and a delete box has been installed on the firewall.
Let me know what you all think, and If anyone has a similar set up, post some pics please!
