      Opinions wanted...

Ok guys I was playing around in the garage tonight and snapped a few pics. I'm toying with the idea of some stripes on my car. Opinions?

By the way I only did the stripe on the hood half way. I decided to stop at the middle of the hood.

my dad had a 70' nova SS ( I think) many years back . It was black with gold ss stripes. I liked the ss stripes on it.
On the fender stripe you taped out I am not too fond of. maybe try it with a sharper angle?

Maybe a little thicker too. I love the Corvette GS stripes so I think they can be made to look cool. The nova is a bigger car, so I would go at least as thick as the Corvette GS stripes...

I'll try making them a little wider a post a pic. I'm not sure about a sharper angle, as you can see in the second pic I tried to keep the same angle as the front grill trim. I figured it would clash if i didnt.

sorry, but i dont really care for them, personal opinion.

with those wheels, i say no stripes at all. if you change the wheels, a set of regular SS stripes would look good in a different color, but not bright blue on white

I like the idea but I personally think the stripes are too far forward. Keep the angle but move them back alittle.

No stripes. Keep it simple. Just my 2 cents...

The wider stripe is better but I think it's too far forward.

Much better. I like it. I think the only thing holding you back is how long the stripe has to be to reach from the top of the fender down to the wheel opening. It's just a much longer distance than that of the Corvettes or the Green mustang vert from this site. That makes it look like there's a LOT of stripe there!

Are you thinking permanent paint or vinyl applique's or....?

I think it would look good in a dark metallic gray? Also, take another wide angle pic, it really helped to be able to see the whole car for proportions and whatnot.

I say keep the second stripe (rear) and add on behind it that would run all the way down.

      Just an idea.

personally I like stripes like that, but I would moved them back further and make them thicker, and while it may sound weird, I think satin white stripes would look really cool. It may just be me, but I think a gloss white with satin white strips combo looks pretty sweet...

Stay with the "sleeper" look! The stripes do nothing for the car.

Your car really has the sleeper look but I like the stripes alot. I think the thinner ones look fine where they are but the larger ones look just as good but need to be moved back more. If you go with the stripes I would but a set of 17" minilites on it to give it that old school trans am look. Just my .02
