      revving at start up

      i have a 650cfm edelbrock performer series carb and when i start it up it revvs high until i kick it down, and as i drive sometimes, it will stay at a a high rev and sometimes wont come back down. it has a electric choke if that helps thanks-dom

      There's a screw on the side of the electric chock that's supposed to adjust that.

      I'm not 100% sure if this is correct ( I didn't have to adjust mine), but when I got my carb back after I had my engine guy install the choke and retune the carb, he told me that if the car did as you describe, to turn the little screw just behind the choke to dial it back a bit.

      Also, make sure you gas pedal isn't rubbing against the carpet and sticking.
