      Brake Stuck on 64 stang

      Ok the driver side front brake is stuck....im a motor guy I dont mess with brakes heh how do I release the pressure off of it so I can Move it around before the bbq at 3 today?

      first try opening the bleeder valve and see if it'll retract. you may need a prybar in between the rotor and caliper. other than that you may have to remove the caliper.

      i should have seen that from the "64 stang" DOH! in that case, loosen up the adjuster and beat the drum with a hammer. that usually breaks the rust free. sometimes, rocking the car back and forth will also break the rust free.

      Thanks man yea I finally rocked it loose but i gotta take the wheel off again and beat on the drum cuz I gotta push the damn thing up a hill and its still stickin

      now that it's loosened up some, you should be able to pull the drum and knock some of the rust out. i usually use a small ball peen and a small chisel for the edge. then some sandpaper for the brake surface.
