502 Ram Jet - Install help

Hey guys... I am considering purchasing a 502 Ram Jet for my 97 Chevy 3/4 ton truck. Do you know what kind of mods I will need to make in order for it to fit? Will it work with my transmission? I am sure I will at least have to get a new hood.

I've found that there is the opinion the Ram Jet FI is not as reliable as the Mass-flo FI set up.... is this true? Any help would be appreciated - Thanks

Didn't some of the 3/4 ton trucks come with 7.4 (big block) motors? If so, and if yours didn't, find a junker for all the brackets, etc. Should not be a big deal for the fit and hood will probably be ok too.

The Ram Jet uses OEM electronics, The Mass-flo is some Rube Goldberg setup. Can't go wrong with the ram-jet

I know of someone who had to work with AZ Speed and Marine (might be the problem right there...) for more than a year trying to get the RamJet setup for his 502 running properly. Now this was shortly after the RamJet setup was released, so maybe tuners have learned how to work with them since then, but his experience was really rough.

I've heard of many people having problems getting these things to run right.
