      fuel injection tank

Ok, I'm going crazy here trying to find the perfect setup. I have went threw three different tanks trying to get the best performance. I currently am using the GM32AFI fron Spectra Premium. It has the internal pump and bowl. Well, it looks great and works perfect with a full tank or sitting still. I have stalled the car three times with little over 1/2 tank driving around town. Did it once at a slight incline, and twice getting on it around a corner. I think for the 450+ dollar price tag it's a poor design.
I would like to see what other members are using for their fuel injection setup. I have a TPI setup in which everything is working perfect except the delivery problem.
So any type of info or pictures would be appreciated.

is the return line causing a turbulent flow around the pick up?

Falcon, I did look at that when I had the sending unit out. The return dumps out right beside the pickup sock for the pump. Maybe I should try to relocate the return?

I have a stock tank with an external pump on my TPI Monte. I don't know if it a baffled tank or not. The same thing happened to my son when he was driving it one day,but it had less than a 1/4 tank of gas. I've had the TPI since 2001.
Keep us posted on the fix,I'm putting together an LT-1 69 Camaro now.

Has anyone tried the Tanks, Inc fuel pump module? I don't like all these horror stories, thinking about just buying a pump and making something and weld it into the top of my tank, basically similar to the Spectra unit with the sender separate from the well the fuel pump sits in.

I have a stalling issues with my chevy wagon and efi. Anything under a 1/4 tank is no good. I am trying to decide on how to do the gas tank in my turbo buick wagon. I will be starting a different thread I think on it to get opinions and all.

Keep us posted on how you make out.

I think you need a bigger or better sump look at what Aeromotive has for a sump you can have welded in #18650

I was looking into that sump too. But I was reading a bunch of different turbo forum's, mainly imports and what not. There are also some guys over at turbomustangs running the surge tank. It sounds like the safest bet to me.
