      67 vS 68 door window

Can I switch out the door windows (vent & main door window) on my 67 SS with a 68 single window? Would the trim & stuff work? I am having a hard time finding new vent window steel framing.

You can also post up a "Want to Buy" and see if you can find a pair.

I have an extra set. They would probably be ok for a driver, but if you want them real nice, you would have to rechrome them. At very least they will need new rubber and window felt.

Oh no here we go again with all the vent window lovers.

I can live with them but if I had windows from a 68 I'd try to find a way top make them work just for general info if nothing else. So many people have asked the question but I've never seen anyone say they've got rid of vent windows with out using 68 doors. The hard part would be getting a regulator to work in a 67 shell with a 68 window. Then it might take a little modifying the door shell around where the vent window was but that's nothing major.

Go with 68 doors if you dont want the vent windows. When I restored my 67, the chrome restoration of the pot-metal post, glass frame and lock handle was $600. and that was almost 20 years ago.
