      volt/amp gauge issue

      took my altenator out to replace a bearing, fixed it and put altenator back in. At idle to 2000 rpm the gauge reads 14. Rev it past 2000 rpm and the needle snaps to zero and stays there.
      Gauge?
      Wiring?
