      MSD coil question

i have a msd blaster 2 coil with the female outlet on it. my distributor is male. im wondering where i can get this adapter just to make buying wires easier. heres a picture of it. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

i cant seem to find just the adapter.

also is there a coil bracket that mounts the coil in the back of the manifold on those 2 screw holes by the distributor? i thought ive seen this before but cant find it. i dont want to mount it on the firewall.

      thanks
      Jesse

You might have to find a coil bracket at a swap meet. I checked on ebay and there were a couple (searched distributor coil bracket). The problem is a MSD coil is slightly thicker and is definitely taller than a factory coil. You can make it work, but it is tight and doesnt look quite right. Just my opinion though.

Most plug wire kits have both style ends, HEI (male) and traditional (female). You can get the ends at any auto parts store and just put one on ...no adapter needed. MSD makes an adapter, and when you see what a POS it is, you'll crimp a new end!

Make a wire. Gee whiz, Crimpers are like $25 for good ones and will make wires for YEARS.
Open up old terminals that are clean and reuse them, do it all the time. Still have a dozen or so aftermarket wires in bottom of tool box at work.
